What is Submission Grappling?
Submission grappling is a form of ground fighting that focuses on controlling and submitting an opponent using leverage, positioning and technique rather than strength.
It combines elements of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling and other grappling disciplines into a modern training approach focused on practical skill and live resistance.
It is one of the fastest growing combat sports in the world and an excellent way to build fitness, confidence and problem solving ability.
North Shore Submission Grappling Club focuses on modern no-gi grappling training, reflecting the evolution of the sport.
Rooted in Community, Mastered on the Mats
North Shore Submission Grappling Club operates as an Incorporated Society, meaning the club exists for the benefit of its members and the local community rather than as a privately owned gym.
Members train together, help each other improve and contribute to the direction and culture of the club.
This collaborative approach creates a welcoming environment where people enjoy training and developing their skills together.
